👋 I'm Shidi,
Since 2010, I started studying industrial design at Luxun Academy of Fine Art University, one of China's top 10 art and design universities. After that, I pursued my master's degree at the Academy of Art University in Product Design. I graduated from AAU and became a UX and product designer in 2016. I worked for three different startup companies covering mobile app design, responsive design, and user research.
Things always don't turn out the way you want. At the beginning of 2020, COVID-19 spread the whole world and has completely changed the way people live. It's a disaster to human beings and a catastrophe to small local businesses (and yes, to many big industries as well). My little dream submerged in the pandemic.

Besides design, I deeply love and beverage industry. As an activist, I brought my hobby to a career turned a dream into reality. I built my brand - Gwa Gwa Tea, in 2018, which is a local milk tea shop in the Bay Area.
Building a local business is the biggest challenge in my life so far. Yet, this experience is of such value to me. I drove everywhere in the Bay Area to find a location, established my branding strategy, created everything a business needed, negotiated with different offices, joined in the modeling work, recruited staff, built my trusted team.
